Long story short I had services provided at a hospital one of the doctors from the hospital has their own practice I didn't know this when the service was being performed this doctor doesn't accept my insurance company. The main problem I have with this is when the doctor billed me they used a billing service and the bill didn't have this doctors practice name on it or that this was for services provided at this hospital it had only the the billing companies name which is a medical name that doesn't say collection or billing company. Its 4 years later I know what the bill is for now but the collection company doesn't agree to remove it. The FTC said I can file a complaint not sure what good it will do.

Yes I disputed the Ca with CRA. They listed on the report I disputed it and wrote it meets FCRA requirements.

Well, I don't think you really have a case, but it's something you could talk to a lawyer about. There are also many techniques you could learn at the forum here to get it removed from your credit report. Start in the Beginner's Section.

I thank you for your response. I was thinking a court may find the reporting of this debt was inaccurate ( "late"). Since I had no knowledge that the debt was being created and the creditor failed to properly notify me of such debt.

I have no debt with Medical Practice Of Westminster

and the bill did not state it was for services rendered by Newark Medical Center nor did it state that it was for services rendered at Newark Hospital.

I think that kind of thing happens a lot. Unfortunately, I think the judge would say that it's your responsibility to call them immediately when they send you a bill to see what it's for and who they are.

You may be right. I'm also asking for an accounting of the debt the bill to me doesn't validate the debt. I would like to match their accounting with what I was billed from the hospital and be sure there is no double dipping and why aren't these doctors paid by the hospital. When you travel to a private practice or even the hospital they verify your payment source before you get service. These peolpe according to them provided service to me with out my knowledge and then sends me a bill stating that they don't take my insurance. I feel like I'm being cheated. The CA is a small company that wants the money and wants to continue to trash my credit they wont do a PFD and they wont agree to not update my account as a paid collection every month for 7 years. I hope hr 3421 passes.
