Default collection agency question

So I'm getting calls on a loan I took out. Third parties keep calling and wanting me to pay them. All I get told is my name, email, and address. No one seems to be able to tell me the date and the account the money went in. I haven't received a single letter or anything stating, "Pay this debt or off with your head." Aren't they supposed to show me SOMETHING? They also keep wanting the money in one or two payments. Anything over that and they say legal action will be taken against me. And everytime I complete a payment, they seem to come up with another payment I need to make. On top of that, they keep taking out the money agreed plus extra on seperate transactions. I tell them to stop. I'm to the point where once I am paid I take out everything from my account except what they are expecting to get. How do I deal with this? Its been almost two months and no paper work of any has been shown to me.

Paying them - HUGE mistake.
Talking to them over the phone - HUGE mistake.

You need to take control of the situation. Get their address, send them a cease and desist letter and never make another payment until you negotiate the removal of the item from your credit report.

Well I have paid for three loans to three collectors. The a 4th called saying there was some final payments to be made involving a lawyer that I never spoke with. The 4th told me all calls should stop. A week later a 5th calls saying I owe money. So I call the 4th and they say they forgot about another payment I have to make and then called the 5th and told them to leave me alone. If I did a cease and desist does that stop all of the calls? How long does it take for one to go into effect.

Stop talking to them on the phone unless you're getting an address. Get it and hang up. Yes, a cease and desist letter will make them stop if you send it to the right people.

And what will it earn me? I'm pretty sure they have bought the ticket from the loan people. I still have to pay but it just seems like they won't let me make decent payments over a few weeks time but would rather have it all in one or two payments.

Who was the original loan thru? In other words, who lent you the money in the first place?

I just paid this off. Today is I got yet another call from another group who stated this loan is through cash connect. Said I borrowed 300 and said i have 3 options.
do it "out of code" and pay 720+ and AFTER i pay all that they will send me the information about it. they told me the place i worked at at the time and bank account info but no date.
do it "in code" and go to court in san fransisco.
or be arrested.
i said out of code. now im set up on 150 a week for the next month. they didn't give me much time to decide anything but according to my bank statements, i don't see any deposits of that amount from anywhere. they did say that AFTER i pay it i can file a identety theft complaint. i tried to ask why i didn't have a deposit from them on my bank statement and they basically said if im doing it "out of code" none of my questions would be answered until i got the package of info AFTER paying them.
i think my id has been stolen. a while back i was looking for about a 1500 loan for a car which i never found. i did go to a wwebsite that bascailly said give us your info including bank number and we will find you your loan and deposit it. i never got any deposits but now im getting calls. this is like the 5th person ive delt with. since i did all the others "out of code' i probably cannot do anything about them. whats funny is the last place i just paid, i tried to call them back today thinking maybe i could file an identity theft report thing with them since i paid them already but i get the message saying, "the number or code you have dialed is incorrect. check the number and try again." i know its the same number since i saved it to my phone.
please can someone give me some idea? maybe a lawyer who can help or anything?

Okay FIRST THING GO TO RADIO SHACK AND BUY A TAPE-RECORDER TO CONNECT TO YOUR PHONE!!!!!!!!. Any Collector who calls you, make sure you tell them you are recording this call. Second thing, Go to your local Police Department and File a ID Theft Report. If you are threatened with Jail, that is a major offence and you can sue for damages for 1-2K. Third thing is stop paying these people. It sounds like you are a victim of FRAUD. These people are taking advantage of you. In the police report, list the companies who are calling you and asking for payment as well as the companys you have paid. Fourth thing is to put a freeze on your credit reports so they can no longer pull your reports.

I did a quick web search and this is a total fraud. Report it to the FBI you can get there contact info here FBI — Map of Field Offices . If you go to the cash connect website at Cash-Connect.com they have a warning to consumers that people are using their company for fraud. No one will show up to arrest you and you won't be sued. In fact, you are the one who can sue or arrest them. Here is another victim from a website very close to your story.

My ex wife had the same issue, we fell for it and I paid them as she was concerned and had taken out a payday loan but had paid it off. They threatened and harassed her to no end. Calling every 5 minutes, claiming to be lawyers, all in an effort to extort money from her. As I said I paid over a thousand dollars to these people and it is a scam PLEASE do not fall for it.

Call and report them to the FBI even their website has a warning about how they are not to be trusted. You can see it here: Cash-Connect.com

We are currently fighting to get the money back, and are fighting to make sure they do not get away with this again.

They change their phone numbers constantly and do not accept items through the mail to avoid being shut down. Their collection practices even if for actual debts violate the fair debt collection act. Read the FDCPA and be aware of your rights.

Yes, I found that warning shortly after. I called the 888-id-theft number. I have contacted the police and state and took all but 10 bucks out of the account they have access to. Tuesday I'm going to the bank to see what I can do with them involving stopping them from taking any money out. Anything else I should do?
