Deleting Midland Management

I settled an account with Midland Management in 2004. Now trying to clean up my credit report, Midland Management was "verified" with all 3 bureaus. How do i go about getting this deleted???? i live in Illinois. Should I send a letter to original creditor and Midland Managment asking them to validate or how they verified this with the credit bureaus?? NEED HELP!!!

I sent a dispute letter first to all 3 cb's. All 3 sent me letters back saying it was "verified". I paid this debt a few years ago, but need it deleted!!! What letters could I send and to whom, to get a deletion??? THANKS!!

Sept. 30th I sent CM/RR letters to Midland Credit Magmt, Home Depot (OC) and court house, and Bank of America (OC for PAID judgement in 2006). Midl Cred Mgmt, Home Depot, Bank of America gave me NO RESPONSE to my letters to verify/investigate. Court house sent letter saying they do not verify with credit bureaus!! Asked CB for "how they verified" this info and they sent letter back last week saying they verified and now these accts wont be re-investigated and "FRIVILOUS"!!! YIKES!! HELP!! I want to send 1 letter to all CB along with copies of letters to OC and collect agenc. What letter do I send now??? and how long should I wait before sending them again?? CM&RR???? PLEASE HELP!!!!!

We refer to the credit bureaus as CRA (credit reporting agencies).

It's difficult to say what to do next. If you have already disputed, asked for method of verification and tried the 1-2 punch and none of it's working, either you're doing it wrong or they are just being really stubborn.

You can try disputing it again, but if they already have you in the system as frivolous, that probably won't do much. You can contact the FTC or file a lawsuit, but doing that might have unintended consequences and is time consuming.

Since I mailed the letters to CA,OC, courthouse CM/RR and heard no response within 30 days, shouldnt the CRA delete these now??? How did they "verify" these accts, if I heard nothing back??? What do I write in letter to CRA??? THANKS!

Technically they should, but they probably won't. That leaves you with a few options. You can either sue them, try a method of verification dispute, leave it alone or you can just demand that they remove them. That doesn't mean they will cooperate.

You simply state that you disputed some accounts and they came back verified. List the accounts that you disputed. Ask them the method they used to verify the accounts.
