I received a ticket in california on 11/09/07 for unregistered vehicle, in actuality my car was registered (i have a dmv paper stating the car was valid from 10/08/07-10/08/08) but payment was received on 06/05/08 (the tranny gave out on the car at the end of nov. my mom got diagnosed with cancer in dec... a lot of crap and no money so i ignored it).... so that happened, the ticket i ignored because i assumed that they had taken it out of some lottery winnings i received.... the fine was like $300!... but taken out of a $1000 winning like at the end of 2008.... so i ignored the whole thing... now in july 2, 2010 i received a letter stating that i owe these fools $510.95...... what do i do!!!... is it still valid... (i've already tried contacting ca lottery but they're so unorganized and douchy) HELP!!!! |

When it comes to tickets, I would just pay it...one way or another. Then, dispute it on your credit report if it's showing up.
