I got an alert from Experian that I got a Major Derogatory item. I'm not behind on any payment. They never contacted me about any $686. And i can't reach them. What should I do ? I have perfect credit and i don't want it to go bad because of these assholes. So now i recall what it's all about: My daughter had a procedure. The hospital had the right insurance information but for some reason they used my older insurance information and of course that got denied. Without contacting me they sent it to Mercantile collection. I told Mercantile that they have the wrong insurance. And they took my current insurance and told me they will resubmit it and I shouldn't worry about it. Fast forward 5 months later I get a hit on my credit. |

Call them and tell them to remove it immediately. If that doesn't work, hang up and keep calling until you get someone who will remove it. Tell them you want it in writing that they are going to remove it and then monitor it. If that doesn't work, dispute it with the CRAs or go with the 1-2 punch.
