Default paid collection account

I just paid a collection account off in full and was able to get them to provide a letter stateing "paid in full" from the original creditor? and all payments made on time for the whole account history. How well on average will this improve my credit score? it currently stands at 545 on
Equifax.

If you can get it to say Paid in Full from the OC, then have them remove the collection account, that would help a lot. It's hard to say how many points your score will go up because there are so many other factors.

That is the only collection account on my file, everything else is paid in full or paid as agreed.

Default Score drop

Today I got a notice from Equifax stating my score dropped to 497 again, even though the installment account is paid in full and account now states "charge off" not "paid charge off" how can I get this stupid account removed period? I even went the extra mile to hire Lexington Law. And I spoke to the original creditor to change it. I even sent a copy of the letter they sent me to Equifax.

If you hired Lexington Law, just be patient and let them handle it. Don't do anything else. It will sabotage their efforts.
