Default Verizon...again?!

Hello,

Verizon shows up on all 3 CR for 3 accounts each + now AFNI and AFNI/BLOOM has placed collection accounts on all 3 CR !!! What can I do? These accounts are past SOL I believe (NJ-2 years.)

The account was paid in 2006 but noone will accept my proof! Verizon would not let me pay my last bill with a personal check so I paid with a money order and sent it CMRR. I called Verizon to try to determine what the problem is and they told me that my original account was split into 3 separate accounts for the various ares of service (long distance, call features and service) and said that is why there are so many entries on my reports for the same account.

I have received collection notices from Pinnacle, CBCS, Afni, Palisades and probably a few more and each time I send them the copies of the money order and CMRR they send a letter back saying they are "updating their files and will provide the information to their client" but I continue to get hit by these scumbags almost monthy. AFNI & AFNI/BLOOM recently added accounts to my reports without contacting me, how can they do that?

Whenever I dispute them on my reports they always come back "updated" or "verified"..... any suggestions on how to proceed from here would be greatly appreciated.

Phones are covered by the fcc the sol is 2years, so the rest are not able to collect. I would send them a c&d letter on reporting this to the crbs. Demand they audit there computer for proof they own. A computer print out is not proof.

From now on when you pay a collections bills never pay with a money order or western union you never have proof of payment! Anyone who does not accept payment via check is shady! Never pay by phone they can take more money from you than you owe!

Please read web site by Bud Hibbs, it helped me! It seems like AFNI is trying to collect on sol accounts from that they bought from other collections agencies that are off credit reports now they are putting it under their name!

Always send these people communications via us postal service certified mail so you have proof u talked 2 them as well, not by phone unless you record them check your states rules on that!

Have them validate this debt - computer print outs are not valid!!
