CreditCrisis is on a distinguished road
Default Do you think I would get anywhere if I filed a complaint with the FTC for everything

Do you think I would get anywhere if I filed a complaint with the FTC for everything that is wrong with my file? Then printed and mailed the complaint to the corresponding CA / OC?

I am seriously frustrated. I have been fighting this so hard and I just got my husbands quarterly update on his credit today and it looks the same! Things that were supposed to be deleted haven’t been, his Equifax score keeps going down..its just ridiculous and frustrating!!

I know it can be frustrating but some things are just more difficult to remove than others. If you are disputing and getting nowhere........then try contacting the creditors/CAs. Trust me......I get very frustrated too. There are several TLs that I have been trying to dispute off for years. Thank God they will be dropping off soon.......but I totally know how you feel.

Filing FTC complaints is not going to help you get anything removed from your CRs. It merely alerts them that a particular company is not doing business in accordance of the FTC's laws. They don't necessarily do anything about it. They have to wait until enough people complain before they take action. The reason we file complaints is to try keep them straight.....if they are alerted of a complaint (that's also why we send a copy to them in the mail with the complaint #) then they can try (and usually want) to resolve it. If they resolve it, that's one less strike against them and the complaint is removed from their record.
The only time you should file an FTC complaint is if they are not complying with the laws.
