Sorry just getting back to you guys, but yes there was a job issue where i changed jobs and my pay got docked because of the transition and then my mother got sick and passed away so i was out for that. But the main thing is that i was put on a repayment plan by my mortgage company and while on the repayment plan my mortgage company still charged me late fees and still reported to my credit report as being late, even though i paid on time according to the payment plan. Which put me futher behind because the late fees where like 35 dollars a piece and the repayment plan lasted almost a year. Is this legal?

Have you asked the mortgage company to remove them from your credit report?

What you can do is carefully dispute them with the CRAs. If there are many lates, you may want to ask them to remove the account. If there are only a few, you want to clearly tell them that you were never late and that the account should be updated, not removed. It's important to ask that the account be updated and not removed, because sometimes if you don't specify, they will just remove it and that is not good if it's an old account with positive credit history.
