Unhappy D&B

My business got hit with 3 collections which has now dropped our Paydex score significantly. The collections were put on there from Am.Ex. However they were PG'd by my sister and are on her personal report. My question is,is there a way to get these removed first from our company D&B report? Do credit repair companies also do business credit repair? We have strong business and Paydex was always an 80. Need this off asap.

To be honest with you, I'm not real sure which laws govern Dun & Bradstreet credit reports, but I'm pretty sure you can dispute accounts with them.

You may want to call Lexington Law and ask an attorney there if they deal with D & B.

You can find their number here:

Lexington Law

Thanks Chane,

I called a credit repair company that claims they
can get derogs off a D&B business report. They said it was more expensive
than doing personal. Hopefully it will work. Thanks.

Default Lexington Law

Chane, I called Lexington Law and asked them if they can do anything with repair on business credit with Dun and Bradstreet. The young lad that I spoke to identified himself as a paralegal and told me he had never heard of Dun and Bradstreet and knew nothing about a business credit profile. Then he put me on hold so he could talk to his manager. He then came back and said his manager had never heard of Dun And Bradstreet and had no clue what I was talking about. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know now they only deal with personal credit, but to not have any clue what D&B is and never heard of them??? Hmmmmm

I spoke to a couple of other repair companies(who knew what D&B was lol) but they only deal in personal credit. I don't think there is anyone that can repair business credit.

Yikes, that is shocking. I thought they would at least know who they are.

There might not be any credit repair company that deals with them, but there's got to be some laws that govern them.

Maybe you can google it? I did a couple of google searches for, "dun & bradstreet" "business credit profile" "repair" etc. There were a few pages. I found something called Bar1 which had a 1-877 number and an IM program you can use to communicate with someone. Whether they can benefit you or not is your choice. Google is how I found this site and maybe you can find something good that refers to D&B.

Thanks Scorch and Chane. Yeah Google is where I found this site as well.
I was very disappointed to hear a "paralegal" from Lexington had absolutely no clue who D&B was, and then his 'manager" didn't either. Oh well. I'm not giving up the search!!!

BTW, is there a way to remove inquiries from your report w/out
having to place a fraud alert on your report?? My wife and I would very
much like to obtain a new loan but have to many current inquiries. So
how can I get inquiries off like in a weeks time? Is it possible?

Thanks!

You can dispute them, but I wouldn't dispute too many of them at once. Inquiries are rarely worth disputing because they only stay on your report for 2 years and really don't affect your credit much after 90 days. Also, it could cause more problems for you then it would be worth. Lots of times when you dispute inquiries, they will automatically put a fraud alert on all 3 of your credit reports because if you didn't make an inquiry, who did? Well, they assume someone stole your identity.

You know... I was reading on another site that you can actually write a letter CMRRR to the company that specifically made the inquiry (like a dispute) and ask them to remove it from your CR's. I was doing a google search for, "sample dispute letters".

OK, couldn't edit my post in time. Here's the link to the page I was reading:

Removing inquiries: Sample letter 4

What do you think?
