Yes, setting up a payment plan is a possibility. I'm just hesitant to pay them the money out of the blue and she said the loan I could get will be reported to all three bureaus once the account is opened, sounds too good to be true.

I told the lady that I wanted to get the deletion in writing so she gave me her business address. I was actually considering sending out a DV.

OK, I sent the hospital a debt validation letter on the second of July. However I have read somewhere that DV letters are only sent to collection agencies when the OC gives them the debt to collect.

I really don't have much knowledge about this debt as I never heard from them and I possibly lost some memory from the injury.

The CA doesn't seem to like me because they never call. So....

Should I wait for a response from the hospital? Or validate the debt with the CA.

It's hard to say. I would probably wait to hear back from the hospital.

So the hospital just sent me itemized statements regarding the two accounts. One has my signature as consent. The other does not. Am I still obligated to pay it and can I dispute and have it deleted?

Thanks.

It's up to you if you want to pay it. If you owe it, you probably should. It's easier to get paid items off your credit report than it is unpaid items. Plus, unpaid items have a higher rate of finding themselves back on your credit report.

I would ask the hospital if they would remove it (if they are reporting it) if you pay it. Get it in writing.
