Default Anyone familiar with the law about harrasment by

collection compay hired by AT&T? I have been harassed by a collection company on behalf of AT&T for the last two months about amount owed to AT&T. After talking to AT&T for many many times, and being told I owe them "Zero" I still keep getting the harassing calls from the collection company. I talked to AT&T again and again and I even have the Customer Reps Id numbers who told me my accounts is ZERO balance but still keep getting the calls. Even when I call AT&T they have notes all over my account for every conversation I had with them and saying that my balance is ZERO and I owe them nothing. What do I need to do? This is driving me crazy and I feel I want to hire a lawyer to sue AT&T for all the pain and suffering from all this...Anyone can help with this legal issue?

Default Call the Collection Company...

Ask for their bonding information. Submit a claim to the Insurance Company that holds their bond. Make sure have have proof of all the harrasment and showing that it is paid. Also read the FDCPA Fair Debt and Practices Act along with the 2007 FDCPA Annual Meeting. You can Google these items. They are quick reads and would give you a better understanding and stronger position for reference.
