You have to comb through what their reporting any find any errors they have committed and dispute that.Just because you paid on it doesn't always mean its yours.Suppose it's a family member or a neighbor or some one you felt sorry for.

So I send a validation letter to the CA CMRRR? After I get RRR, I send a dispute to the CRA? What is the difference between a validation letter and a disputer letter, wording wise? Can I use the same letter? I found one online that I like and would like an opinion: Please provide documentation that the following account belongs on my credit report and that my rights have not been violated; otherwise, please delete this damaging data immediately.

Default 1/2 punch.

I am about to start the 1/2 punch on debts that I dont have a clue of where they came from. My only question is that you say I should dispute with the CRA the next day after I verify that my CMRR letter has been recieved by the collection agency. Should I dispute online or by mail as well?
I dont want to make any mistakes.

Always do everything by mail.... everything.... No phone calls...No online Disputes... now some people will do the simple things dispute online that there is no time crunch but Majority through Snail mail......

Trish, you mentioned to watch out for SOL on the account....is that the SOL on the OC or when the CA or JDB took over, bought, first reported the account?

Should I try a 1 2 punch even if the accounts are not beyond the SOL yet? Or should I just do a PFD? I would prefer not to send them money if I dont have to...lol
