Dismissed Bankruptcy?

I started the process of filing a bankruptcy. I filed the paperwork and days later changed my mind about the filing. I did not go to court to complete the process. Now a bankruptcy is on my credit report that says dismissed. What does that mean? and if I didn't complete it or declare anything in the bankruptcy Why is it on my credit report? Can I get it removed?
