Default Just went to BK Court

I Filed BK on 12-8-2010 and went to BK court on 1-11-11. Just this last Tuesday. What is the very first thing I need to do? Do I need to do it now or wait for the discharge?

That's what I started doing. I think I may have made a mistake before I found this site and marked all my items on my EX credit report with IIB. My bankruptcy hasn't been discharged yet. As I stated at the top I just went to court on January 11th. I started cleaning up my EX report by disputing old information that isn't current. I also found out that there was a bogus name on EX and TU reports. I disputed all the old info and ask them to verify all the accounts on my credit report as mine. I guess I will see what happens.

Yea, that is a huge mistake. Never send in your bankruptcy papers or let the CRAs know that accounts were included in BK. That's the quickest way to screw your credit for 10 years.

Once you really understand how the credit system works, you won't make mistakes like that again. You also won't ever have to file bankruptcy again.

It's important to read everything you can about credit, debt and money in general. It's worth your time to read as much as possible. Read everything in this forum and get your hands on every book you can. Over your lifetime, it could mean saving hundred thousand dollars, not to mention the knowledge you will pass on to your family.

Rich people are rich because they understand the game. If you don't understand the game, you will most definitely lose. Robert Kiyosaki and Dave Ramsey are 2 of my favorite authors. Read anything you can by them.

Well I guess one good thing is that I disputed the items that I marked IIB. As I stated above the status said " Petition Chapter 7 Bankruptcy ". 6 Item I disputed where removed from my EX report.
