Default 2 Questions on BK

1st: I disputed my BK with EQ and here are the lines that I am confused on:

Date reported:
On 3/20/09 N/A
On 4/9/09 08/04/2009
On 4/11/09 10/04/2009

2nd: I had a BK account drop off then reappear

On 3/20/09 Gemb/Walmart Included in BK
On 4/09/09 Gone
On 4/11/09 Gemb/Walmart Included in BK

Any thoughts?

On that 1st one......where are you getting that from? Were those your results from EQ? I can understand why that would be confusing because it appears that they have reported it in the future....

Was there more to it than that? How old is your BK?

For the 2nd one, Did you dispute it off? Or did it just not show up on your CR one month.

Well the first one can be disputed on the dates alone. The second one could have been a computer glitch that didn't pick it up one month. So that means were to take their reporting as the truth?

On the first one I am thinking it is a diiferent format
Day/Month/Year,
but it does seem strange because who would report it?
On the second one it just re-appeared, gone one day back the next. My Bk was in filed in 09/2002.

The CRAs will say it's the courts reporting it......but that's unlikely. They are probably getting their info from another reporting agency like Lexis Nexis.

I would dispute that for sure. You can dispute the BK the same way you dispute judgments. Read here:
Guide To Disputing/Removing Judgments

For the second one......there's really nothing you can do about that. Like jj said, it was probably just a glitch.

So if it stays the same after the dispute is over I should be able to get the BK deleted because of the date issue?
Should I send a letter demanding it to be deleted or a little softer letter?

It's not quite that easy (I wish it were). If they cannot provide accurate info then yes.......it should be deleted. Problem with a BK is.......even if they verify it......in their eyes it IS reporting correctly unless you can prove otherwise. Well, if you send them proof that the dates are wrong.......more than likely what they will do is have the dates fixed.......and now they have proof that you actually do have a BK. That may make it much more difficult to get off later.

If you use the letters from the link I posted.......then you might be able to get it deleted without sending them anything. Try that letter and then in the meantime (just in case it does come back verified) send the courts a letter asking if/how they verify info with the CRAs. Hopefully they will tell you they don't and you can send in THAT letter to the CRAs and have them delete the BK (that's the theory anyway).

I hope all of that made sense.

I think you'll find that some yahoo has to go in to verify in person. That's what they told me when i called. So who knows who it would be suppose the person that does it knows you and doesn't like you he could say yeah so/so has a bk.

Here is an update. I recieved the dispute results back from TU and EQ.
TU says new info below and when I look there is nothing different from my CR from 2 months ago. They did nothing.
EQ says updated 4/10/2009 and in the date reported it says 4/10/2009, it can't be because you can verify through PACER but BK courts do not report.
Any ideas on how to respond?
Another thing on the same dispute TU says for 2 other TL verified, but I sent the dispute on 4/16/2009 and it says verified 3/2009.

So (just to make sure I'm up to speed).....you sent the disputes to the CRAs for your BK.
If these are the results you got, then send them (the CRAs) a PR letter now.
