I never give a reason. I tell them: "I would like to dispute the following accounts:"

Then, I list the accounts I want to dispute. I tell them to remove them from my report immediately.

That's the short and sweet the shorter the better. You don't want to send them a speech, sometimes less is best, plus you don't want to use all your ammo on one dispute!

Yea, but having that status on your credit report won't really change anything.

Thanks Chane, I didn't realize you don't have to give a reason at all. Should I try it down the road even if my bankruptcy is still listed on pacer?
