Can I just use the regular dispute letter to dispute the bk items off? Or is there a specific letter with more legal text?

I would just start off with a basic dispute letter stating the account is obsolete for the 2001 account. Then dispute the inaccuracies in the 2003 accts.
You really don't need to put the legal lingo in a dispute to the CRAs......they are pretty much clueless of the laws anyway.

If it comes down to it, then your second letter can be a bit more aggressive.......along with a possible complaint depending on the outcome of the investigation.

Just be sure and handwrite it and send it CM (not RR)

Yes.....handwritten is always best when disputing with the CRAs. If you cannot hand write the letter, then use purple or teal italic font. Their computers cannot scan those fonts or handwriting......so the letters get forwarded to a different area where an actual person has to open your letter and read it.

It just makes your chances a little better instead of having it all automated and computerized. That's exactly why disputing online doesn't work as well either.

hmm.... Don't know. I just write up my letter and then highlight everything and change the color and then hit the "i" button on the top.
