I am thinking of Filing chapter 13

at a meeting I had with an Attorney I am thinking of filing chapter 13. I am buing sued for a bad debt from an unsecured credit card and the fact of the matter is that I can not afford to keep paying high interst on cards and balances which I still carry. I just do not know if 13 is the best method. I make really good money, but not like I used too and now can not keep paying on these cards. Also, I have three time shares that are killing me. the only way to get rid of them is to file chapter 13. I make too much money for a chapter 7. If I do file do I have to live on a budget with no descretionary money and can I still use charge cards which are not in the plan? It looks like I am supposed to live on very little and everything else goes to the trusty to pay off the BK. Yes? NO? I am so confused.
