Default more bankruptcy questions?

my father is a co signer on two of my student loans, i want to keep him out of my bankruptcy and i also do not want him to know i am filing for bankruptcy do i have to include my student loans in my bankruptcy

You're dad's gonna have to know, as his credit is connected to yours now. You have to declare all financial obligations, student loans included. Be very careful about this, because with the new tightened rules, you should be asking these questions to a lawyer or financial advice agency. There are nonprofit groups to help people in your situation.

You're stuck with the student loans.Because your dad is a co-signer, if you file bankruptcy he will be notified by the courts. If you are in such dire straights........why not talk to dad? As much as we hate admitting this sort of stuff to our parents, they can usually help us figure out a better solution than bankruptcy.Or, is this just your way of not paying your debts?Talk to dad before doing anything. Your decision will affect his credit and that is NOT fair to him.Good Luck.
