Default Credit cards - difficult to discharge with

bankruptcy - sears? others? Are there companies which request the items back that you purchased on credit if you file bankruptcy. (They cause issues with discharge of their credit card if you file bankruptcy.) I had read this was true with Sears? Is this true? Are there other companies which is the same?

Certainly a company has a right to ask for products back that you received from them but never actually paid for.If you are a good person and simply made some financial mistakes then I would think that you would feel bad keeping stuff you did not pay for and would want to give it back. However, in bankruptcy, unless it's a very expesive item (like furniture) they likely won't ask for it back. Especially if it's electronics or clothing they won't want it back. This is mainly because what would they do with it then? Sears does not sell used merchandise and your item would be used so it is of no use to them. Most companies simply want their money, not the stuff. If they can't have their money then they usually still don't want the stuff back. I do want to re-empasize though that they are entitled to get it back if they want since essentially you stole it from them.
