How long does it typically take to recover from

bankruptcy? If you want to rebuild your credit, say so you can buy a house, how long does it usually take after filing bankruptcy?

It takes about a year to get discharged and about seven years for the bancrupcy to be erased from your credit history. After one year you can start rebuilding your credit though, so maybe have someone co-sign a credit card for you.

It depends on which chapter and what happens after it is discharged.
