Default have you represented yourself in bankruptcy court?

i'm anticipating filing for bankruptcy and i cannot afford the $1000 for a lawyer plus $299 for the court fees. Has any body ever filed pro se, if so how was the experience and do you recommend it? thanks. please no rude comments either, i'm going through a hard time as many americans do

You can go to a paralegal office and file for it there, much cheaper. It will cost you no matter what.Beware. Most fine print these days includes and agreement that you will not file for bankruptcy. I know that most payday loans include that. So, bankruptcy won't eliminate the obligation to pay some debts these days. They caught on.Don't worry. I'm going through a hard time as well. America has, as they say, "a scary obsession with debt." I won't make the same mistake twice, though. No more credit cards from here. I deal strictly in cash. I'm not even gonna buy a car on finance. All cash.

I filed my own. It wasn't hard to file. It's Dealing with all the crediters and they "BS". Some of them don't understand the you are your own attoney.
