Default Can a bankruptcy be removed from your credit report?

Can a bankruptcy filing be removed from your credit report? Even if the case was dismissed?

You can have it removed. There are some loopholes in the statutes that allow you to remove any negative info from your report. You can do it yourself but, in my case i used a law firm, within one month my BK was removed.

Check out Lexington Law Firm.

Yes I hear Lexington is pretty descent at getting BK's off. What will usually happen is that it will come off 2 reports, but will stick on the 3rd. For some reason this is the norm when it comes to bk's. One thing to note when dealing with Lexington, sometimes they dispute something so many times on the same basis that it becomes frivolous and any future disputes on that mark won't even be looked at.

If you would like it removed, then yes, you should dispute it.

The "included in bankruptcy accounts" are separate. The bankruptcy itself is verified by the courthouse. The CRAs may delete the bankruptcy because they can't provide proof.

However, the accounts included in bankruptcy are verified by the creditor, not the courthouse. The creditor may verify the account, because they may have proof.

well if i disputed the bk and it was removed and those other accounts are supposed to show it as being included in the bk, what happens to those accounts? will that just open a giant can of worms?

also, that judgement on my credit from ford for $9730 says on my transunion file that it was fact included in the bk (as it should be) so how do i get it removed?!

No, they are separate because they are reported by creditors. Stop thinking that the CRAs investigate or care what they report about you. They don't and they don't. They are not a government agency. 79% of consumer credit reports have erroneous information on them. That basically means they report bullshit - trash - whatever you want to call it.

Stop letting them control you. They have no authority over you. They make money by selling YOUR private information. You do NOT get a cut of that profit. They are dirty bastards and they make me sick.
