Default Need help findinding credit!

I'm looking to buy a truck but I have no credit at all. I have no cosigner, and I can't get one. I'm trying to work in a tight time frame, but there's really no deadline.

Well, that's the gist of my issues. I'll elaborate a little just in case it helps.

I'm 22, or a few days from it. I have a good job I've been working full time at one company for the last 2.5 years. When I was 17 I had my Grandma help me buy a new car, I've made every payment on time since then, direct withdrawn from my bank account. I still have that car, I drive it every day. (Nobody seems to care at all about that, but I was hoping someone might know a bank or lender that might care.)

I'm working on starting my own business, and I need a truck for that. I'm wanting a 99+ S10 pickup truck, ~$5000. The only places that will approve me for some sort of loan are buy here pay here places and I refuse to do business with those crooks. (Something about how they blatantly take advantage of people in a bad situation doesn't sit right with me. Plus I'm not paying 4-5K over book for a car just because your nice enough to lend me money...)

I've got at least $1500 for a down payment, possibly a little more. I make more than enough to pay for the truck, I've lived on the same street for well over two years but I just recently moved 6 houses down the street. I also have a newer motorcycle and another older car I own free and clear I would be willing to put up as collateral, but I've never heard of such a thing.

I'm also going to start a business soon, at first in my basement but I want to be able to move to a real shop in a few years if things go well. I'll need credit for that, and I'm really itching to get started building. I always thought/heard just about anyone could get an auto loan and that buying a car is just about the easiest way to build credit but I sure haven't had any luck.

Oh, I did get a secured credit card from Applied Bank 9+ months back. I had more than one dealer tell me that there is nothing at all on my credit report this weekend, so Applied Bank was not reporting anything to anyone at all. I kept a small balance and paid the minimum on time every month for those 9 months, so I don't know why they didn't report anything. I have a feeling it has something to do with them being a very poor business. Needless to say, I already cancelled that card. Watch that be the first thing they report, eh?

Thanks for looking guys! I'm not expecting much, I ran into this same problem last spring when I was trying to buy a motorcycle (which is why I got that secured card, lotta good that did!) I figured I wouldn't have as much trouble this time since I'm buying a car, but apparently I was wrong again!
