Need a loan to buy a car, what to do?

Hello - My credit scores are not good. I have 1 collection account( which will be removed in may be 1 month) and 3 30 day late payment on closed credit cards.

I applied for a car loan in Dec and was approved with a huge down payment. I did not take the loan as I moved to a different state due to job. I applied for loan again and got rejected.

Should I keep trying? Are there any banks that will give me a loan if I explain them that the collection account will be removed. Will things be better if my collection account is removed? I currently commute 5 hours a day and need a car asap. Please give me suggestions.
