Default Divorce + cosigner + non-payment = problems

Ok here's a doozie.

- Going through a divorce.
- Wife took one of the cars and moved to PA from CA
- I am still in CA
- Car is financed in both our names - Cap 1 Auto Finance
- Wife's lawyer stated in divorce she would take on payments
- Court did NOT order me to pay for the car
- Wife deliberately stopped making payments
- Cap 1 harassing me to pay for car I don't have - 21 days past due
- Car upside down about $10k in loan

I tried talking to Cap 1 but they basically said I can either pay or go for a voluntary reposession. At this point paying $600 a month for a car I don't have just to protect my credit (which is already bad) doesn't seem worth it.

I can't refinance in my name only, due to lack of money and no chance to re-fi a car $10k upside down.

Any suggestions/ideas?
