Default I recently leased a car and the dealership

financed me based on a lower credit score- is this ethical? The last time I checked my credit score (about 1 week before I leased my car) it was well within the "good" range. The dealership I leased my car at gave me financing based on their financial company's formula. It was about 40 points lower than the credit score I got from the credit reporting agencies. Did I get bamboozled?

If you knew your credit score going into the deal, why did you sign paperwork based off of their lower "internal score"? I would have gotten up and walked out at that point.
