Default Carfax on a Certified car I like to buy...

...shows it as a commercial lease vehicle. Could you explain this ? I am about to buy a certified pre owned vehicle from the dealer. But the carfax report shows that it was initially registered as a commercial lease vehicle . Could you tell me how this is different from private lease vehicle.

Thanks in advance.

It probably means it was a rental car or leased to a secondary leasing company for use. There's nothing wrong with this, they usually maintain their cars better than individuals.

This doesn't automatically mean it's an executive car. It can be any vehicle from a commercial account which was leased by the manufacturer. Hertz, Avis, Enterprise, and so on purchase their vehicles via fleet sales.
