...used car? I've had a checking account with the same bank for over 4 years, I have good credit and Ive been working for the post office for almost half of a year. I'm wondering if I could get a bank loan of $3,000 for a used car, from the actual buyer, not dealership.

From experience, banks are weird animals - they may not care if you've had an account with them for decades. They do care, however, about your income and credit score as well as the amount you are paying out of your pocket. They will unlikely finance 100% of the price. As far as dealer vs private buyer - they don't care.

Yes it shouldn't be to hard at all. It normally looks better when applyin for a loan to be at present job for 2 ys and 5yrs is two lucky #s but at the bank where u have had good checking with foir 4 years they shoukd know you and I wouldnt assume any problems getting the loan depends on how old the car is on how they will feel as ususing the car as collateral but for just 3,000 $ they may be wllin g put that on your signanture.. with my bank I recently bought a used RV 6,995$ I paid like 1,000 down and he did'twant use the entire rv for the colatteral cause of its value etc. so we done 3000 om my signature and the rest on the rv. went very well But this guy is always willing to help you. as long as you are a honest person that banks with him and maninatins your checking ACCOUNTS. KEEPS MIM. BABLANCES IN PAY BILLS ON TIME ECH MNTH . IT GOES ALONG WAYS AND THEY WILL REALLY TRY TO HELP YOU.
