Default Can my grandmother get a personal loan to give to

me to buy a car? Hypothetically, let's say my grandmother has very good (if not perfect, I wouldn't doubt it) credit and wanted to help me get a car. My credit is so shot that my name can not even be on the loan, therefore the car would be in her name. The insurance (if I understand correctly) would also have to be in her name and if I were to get in an accident, they would go after her and not me. Would she be able to get a personal loan to give to me so that I could buy a car? I hope this makes sense.

The answer to this question is yes and there are two ways to do it, at least that i know of.She could get a car loan, on which yes, everything will be on her name, but when it comes to the insurance, she can add you to it.The second option, would be for her to get an equity loan. That if she has any assets. the most common one is a home equity loan. Once she gets approved, she could give you the money so that you can pay the the car in cash and you would just have to pay her back.In either scenario, it all depends on your grandma to be willing to that for you.
