I'm leasing an auto repair garage. The water pife froze and broke because I did not left the heat on because I only work there once or twice a month. Who is responsible to fix the broken pipe. me or the landlord?

Depends on what your lease says and any agreement you might have made over the heat issue. If you need the place, in good favor you should just get it fixed as you are the one who left the heat off, even at 50 degree's, to prevent such a thing.Cause if you go barking after the landlord, even if it states it in the lease as his repair. You will be out of that lease fast. As he will find a flaw somewhere to boot you.Or if you think they are easy going and the lease states they are to pay yet you left the heat. Be a responsible renter and offer to cover 1/2 so both parties are equal.

Probably the first thing to find out is how much. You could end up in a big fight with your landlord over this and a plumber might fix it for $100. It might not be worth the hassle to fight over it, get thrown out and have to find a new garage. Get all the cost information, you may have to share the cost of repair with your landlord.Be fair about this and you could get a break on your rent when you renew. Think long term about this.
