At first I was scared to even try to get anything. My husband purchased a car 9/2008 (through DriveFinancial aka Santander) and the interest rate was extremely high. Then he got a Target card ($200) and a Capital One credit card in 4/09. Capital One initially approved him for $1000 and now the limit is at $2000. I got a job in July and eventually we needed another car. We applied for a used car, but was approved for a new one at half the interest rate of the first car we got (Also through Capital One). Anyway, long story short. I decided to rebuild my credit by obtaining a joint car loan with my husband. Then I applied for the Dell. Since the bankruptcy my credit score has increased significantly. Our next major purchase will be a house and we are in the process of saving up for a downpayment. I wish everyone the best of luck in repairing their credit.
