Did you contact the FTC? sounds like you have a couple 1k's coming to you from those dorks for their violations...
I had to deal with both creditiors long ago and learn then credit cards are not worth the hassle as they lie and add unreal fees and interest to a closed account, making it impossible for you to ever pay it off.
