That could just be their procedure. If you were questioning the way and investigation was conducted, they may be trained to do that. Either that or he just didn't want to get yelled at by a consumer....lol....so he just directed you to the FTC so you could file a complaint if you wanted to.
I'm sure they have to deal with that a lot.
