They received a letter from me stating this along with my attorney's phone number. I also have notes back from 04 from the attorney that this utility company does this alot and he'll take action and send them a letter. So, I keep everything and I have a letter dated and signed with the account number from this utility company stating they had the wrong information and that our account does not have a negative report and the mistake was corrected as soon as they realized this.
So, this is great news!!!! But, I'm actually kinda confused on what to do next. It would seem odd for me to send them their own dang letter to prove a point or which letter should I send? And what about the collection agency that is also on the report??
Dah - In a way I'm dumb that I didn't look this up first. I wrote them a stupid goodwill letter when in all reality this was not our responsibility at the time anyway. So, that is what opened this all up. YET, I think this had always been on our report anyway and should of been removed. |
Send copies of the letter to everybody and if this is not deleted within 30 days you have no choice but to file a civil suit.also tell them you just want it to go away because its doing serious damage to your credit history!
