I do not have any first hand experience with tax liens.......but from what I have read Wide is correct in that tax liens will stay on your report for 10 years (and I believe that is from the date it was paid off).

I'm also wondering if how he's talking about disputing them will actually remove them?........or will they now be reported as released? Not sure.

What I have seen is that a tax lien should be disputed like other public records.
You can use the Guide To Disputing/Removing Judgments thread as a guideline..
