We have belonged to the same Credit Union for 35 years. Many car loans, Mortgs., checking acts, savings acts. etc. Almost 2 years ago my husband and I had some bad luck and fell behind on a car loan and our heloc. (late pymts for 3 months) We went to our C.U. and told them our problems and within a three month period we became current with our loans again. That was the only time in 35 years that we were late with our payments.

When I pulled our CR's to see what they looked like, I saw that our CU reported late pymts for that time period. I was surprised to see that they reported these late pymts, especially since we went in to explain our problem and became current fairley fast.

Has anyone ever succeeded in having their CU remove late pymts? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
