Default Postcard from lender

I am very upset to say the least. Today in the mail we received a postcard which states. "This is an important notice regarding your mortgage Co. We received information that you may be having trouble making your monthly payments. If this situation is not given due attention, it may cause your lender to request full payment of the debt and foreclosure proceedings may follow" As I said this came as a postcard not in an envelope. It is not from our mortgage Co. We have an agreement with our mortgage co. to lower our payments for 6 months due to me being injured and my husband having surgery, but we have faithfully made these payments. Is'nt this against the law to send a postcard through the mail with this info on it? We live in a very sparsely populated area and I am sure everyone who handled this postcard read it even if they are not suppose to. I am embarrassed to death by this. What can we do?????????? I had opted out when I first came to this forum....
