Start Dealing with it! That is to say... Deal with ONE thing at a time! When you lump it all together like that it looks like the end of the world. The hardest part of getting out of debt is the actual start of the process,,, You are in the USA, so my favorite Money Saving site may not be totally relevant, but worth a look for the general straight forward advice. In the UK, Martin Lewis, a radio presenter has the best known site: MoneySavingExpert.com. When I say 'deal with it', I don't mean that in a harsh way, it is to emphasize the fact that most of us in debt bury our heads and ignore the creditors...My advice is to get someone on your side, like a local advice group, talk to people who have been through your situation, and the first thing you will realize is that you are not alone... You are not a criminal... and there is light at the end of the tunnel (no matter how long and dark it seems at the moment!)OUCH... You have jumped the gun with your dig... I was trying to write a constructive supportive answer, but I suppose posting it in parts did lead to it being misconstrue. I did not mean to appear harsh, just hadn't finished my thoughts or answer. Hope you get a better answer, and one you feel helps.
