first off, if you owe that much you have a gambling problem and you need to get some help, say g.a. the best thing to do is let them know you dont have the money and see if you can make arrangements to make payments to pay off your debt to him. i had some friends that were in your spot a while ago and they talked with the guy and was able to make arrangements to pay off the debt he owed. it took him a while but he managed to pay it off. now if and when he bets, he has a limit that he can bet a week. at end of the week, if he owes, then he can only bet so much before he reaches his limit. for example if his limit is 2000 and at end of week he owes 1500, he can only bet up to 500 until he pays the 1500 that he owes. this way protects him and the bookie from getting out of hand and betting more than he can afford and the bookie from losing out on a bunch of money from person not paying.
