It was recently brought to our attention that my husband has a judgment on his credit report from 2002. It was something over being evicted or something and says he owes his previous landlord $1300.

I had read a few days ago that you can do something about a judgment if you were 'improperly served', which i would imagine he was, since he was never actually served. We've been evicted before and noticed that they'd taped the summons to the screen door of our the home we'd already vacated, and i would imagine that that's what must have happened in that situation as well.

I also just read, as i was browsing this forum, something about only having 30 days to have a judgment vacated (which i can't remember if that was what they called the process for dealing with the whole improper service thing). So, is it too late to have it removed? Can we still try anyway? And what would we need to do to go about doing that?
