Who is Allied Interstate?
Allied Interstate is a debt collection agency. Everyone makes mistakes at times and let a few bills slip, but Allied Interstate can be excessively aggressive when trying to collect on those bills. Allied Interstate collections is super-aggressive because they make their money based on how much money they can scare you out of. Even if you somehow overpaid them, they would make more money because of that. The worst part is that Allied has the authority to turn your good credit score into a bad credit score.
Has Allied Been Calling You?
I’ve heard of people being called by Allied Interstate as many as 10 times per day! That is just insane … do they think that on the tenth call you are suddenly going to have a bunch of money show up in your bank account and you will have the good will to pay them over any other bills you might have? Yeah, right! The constant calls would make me less likely to pay them, but that’s just me. Anyway, I’ve had to deal with Allied Interstate myself and it was a nightmare. It took me years to fix the bad credit that resulted from them. Hopefully that’s not the case for you, but if you are reading this, I fear it might be.
Desperate Moves
Allied Interstate calls friends, relatives, and even co-workers – These guys will do absolutely anything to find you. Can you imagine the embarrassment of having someone you know getting a collection call looking for you? Personally, I’d prefer everyone not know I’m going through some hard times. Nobody close to you needs to give them what they are looking for though. They can call you if they need to talk to you – that would make sense anyway.
Inappropriate Behavior
They think they can call as much as they want. As I mentioned already, they have been known to call people as often as 10 times per day. In addition, they will call at all hours of the day and night. Can you imagine being awakened at midnight by a phone call from an unknown number? Well, that is exactly what happened to one person.
Turning Mistakes Into Money
They rely on incorrect information. Since I first had a bad experience with Allied Interstate, I have heard of many people who have been ridiculed by them even though they didn’t owe any money to anyone. These are wealthy people with no debt at all. I found it shocking Allied could pursue people who didn’t have debt with them, but that appears to be exactly what they did. Make sure the debt is yours and they have documentation for it before you pay them a dime.

How To Repair Your Bad Credit
It’s a shame I had to deal with Allied Interstate in the first place, but I was lucky enough to get them off my back and get my credit report on the road to recovery. Several years ago I lost my job. I had a little money saved up, but the money I had quickly dried up as I struggled to find work. I resorted to using credit cards to paying my other bills and as it always does, it caught up to me. My credit card bills were eventually sent to collections and my credit score took a big hit. I tried several things to fix my credit myself, but none of them seemed to work and my credit score was spiraling out of control. After several months of failed attempts I finally declared bankruptcy. After my bankruptcy, I was determined to improve my credit score. I found out there were things I could do to make it better, even though I had a bankruptcy on my record.
Lexington Law Repaired My Credit
I called Lexington Law and they quickly went to work to help me fix my bad credit. They had a team of lawyers and paralegals sending letters to all of my creditors who had affected my credit report negatively. I don’t know exactly how it all works, but I do know that my credit score began to improve. It’s been a couple years now and I can say calling a real law firm was one of the best things I’ve done to help my credit. Now I don’t have to pay crazy interest fees and I can help my family save money with lower interest rates (see below).
